The SanDisk WDS250G1R0C is a 250GB internal SSD built for network-attached storage. It uses the M.2 2280 form factor and a PCI-Express 3.0 x4 interface. The drive targets small-to-medium business workloads such as virtualization, collaborative editing and multi-user databases.
This NVMe SSD replaces a SATA cache device to deliver higher I/O performance and lower latency. Sequential reads reach up to 3100 MBps and writes up to 1600 MBps. Random reads hit 220000 IOPS and writes 180000 IOPS. The jump is worth it when your NAS serves many simultaneous users or runs latency-sensitive applications.
The drive slots directly into a compatible M.2 2280 connector wired for PCI-Express 3.0 x4. Endurance is rated at 500TB written and MTTF at 1750000 hours. Idle power draw is 70 mW. Operating temperatures range from 0°C to 70°C, while storage temperatures span -55°C to 85°C.
