The Synology RS826RP+ is a 1U rackmount network-attached storage system built for edge deployments, branch offices, and remote business workloads. It ships fully assembled and tested with four 12TB Synology Plus NAS drives providing 48TB of raw capacity. A quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor at 2.2 GHz and 8GB of DDR4 RAM power the platform.

Sustained throughput with link aggregation

Under Synology tested configuration the unit delivers sequential read performance over 2000 MB/s and write performance over 1300 MB/s. Four integrated 1GbE RJ-45 ports support Link Aggregation for increased bandwidth, load balancing, and automatic network failover during sustained operation. A PCIe Gen3 slot accepts 10GbE or 25GbE adapters, an M.2 SSD adapter, or a combined M.2 and 10GbE adapter for caching to improve IOPS. One RX426 expansion unit can be connected to double bay count and reach up to 192 TB raw storage with supported 24 TB drives.

Hot-swap bays and redundant power for daily

Four hot-swappable drive bays accept compatible 3.5-inch SATA hard drives and 2.5-inch SATA SSDs, allowing drive replacement without downtime. Redundant power supplies operate on 100-240 VAC at 50/60Hz for continuous availability. The chassis measures 44 mm × 480 mm × 492.6 mm and weighs 8.0 kg. Management is handled through a web-based interface with DHCP client support, while front LEDs indicate power, drive, and LAN status. Operating limits are 0°C to 35°C at 5-95% relative humidity.
