This A-Tech server memory module provides 8GB of DDR4 capacity with ECC registered operation for workstation and server systems. It runs at 2400MHz with CL17 latency and 1.20V voltage using a 1Rx4 rank configuration. The 288-pin DIMM is built with major brand chips and validated as a compatible replacement for Hynix HMA41GR7AFR4N-UH and HMA41GR7BJR4N-UH modules.

Capacity and headroom

The single 8GB module suits entry-level server workloads, virtualisation hosts with modest memory footprints, and workstations running ECC-dependent applications. Registered buffering reduces electrical load on the memory controller, allowing larger total capacities when multiple modules populate the board. Systems requiring more than 8GB per channel or higher bandwidth than PC4-19200 will need additional modules or faster-rated memory.

DDR4 registered DIMM limits

DDR4 registered DIMMs require a platform that supports registered signalling and ECC; consumer desktop chipsets typically cannot use them. The 2400MHz speed ceiling is set by the DDR4-2400 JEDEC standard, so the module will down-clock on platforms limited to lower data rates. Mixing registered and unbuffered DIMMs in the same system is not supported by the memory controller.
