The ASUS ROG Strix G18 G814FP-WS96-HID7 is an 18.0-inch gaming laptop with a 2560 x 1600 IPS-level display running at 240Hz. It is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX 16-core processor with a maximum turbo frequency of 5.4 GHz and 64 MB L3 cache. The system includes an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card with 8 GB GDDR7 video memory. It ships with Windows 11 Home pre-installed.

Factory thermal and memory upgrades

HIDevolution applies Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on the CPU and Gelid GC Extreme on the GPU as thermal interface material upgrades for lower operating temperatures. The original memory is replaced with 64 GB of DDR5 5600MHz dual-channel RAM configured as two 32 GB modules. Storage is upgraded to a 2 TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD for faster boot and load times. These changes replace the stock cooling paste and standard memory and storage configurations.

Professional build-to-order assembly

The laptop arrives fully assembled and tested by an authorized ASUS build-to-order dealer. Technicians install the latest stable BIOS and drivers, then run burn-in stress tests, benchmark validation, keyboard and touchpad checks, port verification, display inspection and a physical chassis review. The completed unit is shipped in the original packaging with the upgrades already installed, so no end-user disassembly is required.
