The PowerEdge R650 packs two Intel Xeon Silver 4316 processors running at 2.3 GHz with a 3.4 GHz turbo into a 1U rack chassis. Thirty-two DDR4 modules deliver 1 TB of registered ECC memory at 2666 MHz. The PERC H755 controller with 8 GB NV cache manages ten 600 GB 10K SAS drives across the front 2.5-inch bays. Dual 1400 W platinum supplies and iDRAC9 Enterprise complete the configuration.

Hot-swap front bays and redundant power

Ten 2.5-inch drive bays sit behind the included bezel for tool-less SAS drive changes without shutting down. The H755 RAID controller supports levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for flexible data protection. Dual hot-swap power supplies share the load and keep the server running if one unit fails.
