Magnetic Dust Filter Pack

A set of four 120 mm magnetic dust filters designed for PC builders who want to protect standard case fans or vent openings from airborne particles. The ultra-fine PVC mesh blocks dust while maintaining airflow, and the integrated magnetic frame attaches directly to ferrous steel chassis panels without screws or clips. Buyers with aluminium or non-magnetic cases cannot use the magnetic mounting method. Each filter measures 120 x 120 mm with a 1.5 mm frame thickness and 0.8 mm mesh holes.

Capacity and Headroom

The 0.8 mm aperture stops most household dust and pet hair, reducing internal buildup on heatsinks and fan blades. Four filters cover a typical mid-tower intake and exhaust configuration, providing enough coverage for a standard air-cooled build. In environments with very fine particulate matter such as construction dust or heavy pollen, the mesh may clog faster and require more frequent cleaning. The magnetic hold remains secure on vertical steel panels but will not adhere to aluminium, plastic or painted non-ferrous surfaces.

Magnetic Mounting Constraint

The single deciding specification is that the filter frame only attracts to iron or steel case material. If the chassis front, top or bottom panel is aluminium, tempered glass, plastic or any non-magnetic metal, the magnets will not hold and an alternative mounting method must be devised. This limitation is absolute and cannot be overcome by the filter itself.
