Four-port USB 3.2 20Gb/s controller
The HighPoint RU1444C adds four USB Type-C ports running at 20Gb/s each through a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot. It targets workstations and servers that need high-speed external storage or data-acquisition devices without Thunderbolt hardware. The low-profile form factor fits standard and compact chassis alike.
PCIe 3.0 x16 host interface
The card requires a full x16 electrical connection to deliver 2500 MB/s per port across all four ports simultaneously. Systems limited to x8 or x4 electrical lanes cannot saturate every port. Native xHCI support means driverless installation on Windows 11, 10, 8.1, Server 2022, 2016, 2012, 2008 and Linux kernel 3.10.0 or later; macOS is not supported.
2500 MB/s per port with hot-plug support
Each USB-C port sustains 2500 MB/s for professional SSDs, camera arrays or instrument capture, and drives can be swapped without a reboot. The card draws 27.62 W typical and operates between 5 °C and 45 °C. It does not support booting on Windows, and buyers needing more than four 20Gb/s ports must add a second card.
