Eight small-form-factor drive bays and the Smart HBA H240ar controller provide internal storage density for virtualization hosts or database nodes that need rack density.

Redundant power supplies share the load so a single failure does not interrupt operation. The 1U airflow path pulls cool air from the front across the processor and memory to the rear exhaust, keeping thermals stable under typical enterprise workloads. Acoustic output is consistent with standard rack-mounted equipment in a cooled aisle.

H240ar controller with two 600 GB SAS drives

The bundled Smart HBA H240ar supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across 12 Gb SAS and 6 Gb SATA links. Two 15 K 600 GB 2.5-inch SAS drives are pre-installed, giving immediate boot or cache capacity without additional cabling. No operating system is included, so the installer chooses the hypervisor or OS.
