PCI-E 4X U.2 Adapter Kit

This LORDWORLD kit adapts a PCI-E 4X slot to a U.2 connector using SFF-8639 to SFF-8654 Slimline SAS. It is designed for mainboards that support the Intel SSD 750 M.2 form factor. The included bracket allows standard mounting in a server chassis.

Check slot version and drive type

Your motherboard must provide a PCIe 3.0 x4 electrical connection for the adapter to function. The card only works with PCI-E SSDs and will not operate with SAS or Slimline SAS hard drives. Verify that your target drive uses the U.2 NVME interface before ordering.

Replaces direct M.2 installation

This kit upgrades a system that lacks a native U.2 port but has a free PCI-E 4X slot. The jump is worth it when you need to add an Intel SSD 750 or similar PCI-E SSD without an onboard M.2 SFF-8654 connector. It does not add SAS or Slimline SAS hard-drive support.
