Stepper Motor HAT for Raspberry Pi and Jetson

This LORDWORLD HAT adds dual stepper-motor control to Raspberry Pi 4B, 3B+, 3B, 2B+, Zero W, WH and Jetson Nano boards through the standard 40PIN GPIO header. It targets makers and engineers who need precise motion for CNC, robotics or automation projects without designing a custom driver PCB.

Microstepping limited by DRV8825 indexer

The onboard dual DRV8825 ICs provide six microstepping resolutions from full-step to 1/32-step, set by physical DIP switches on the board. The driver’s built-in indexer caps the finest division at 1/32, so applications demanding higher resolution must use a different driver architecture.

Adjustable current and compact HAT mounting

Motor current is tuned per channel via onboard potentiometers up to 2.5A peak, allowing matching to specific stepper ratings without external sense resistors. The 40PIN stack-through header keeps the board aligned with the host SBC, leaving other GPIO pins accessible for sensors or additional hats.

Întrebări despre acest articol

Which microstepping mode should I select for my stepper motor project?

Choose from six DIP-switch settings — full-step, half-step, 1/4-step, 1/8-step, 1/16-step, or 1/32-step — to match the resolution and smoothness your application needs.

What does the 2.5A current rating mean when the HAT is mounted on a Raspberry Pi?

Each DRV8825 driver can deliver up to 2.5A per phase; set the onboard potentiometer below that limit to match your motor’s rated current and keep thermals manageable.

How does the 40-pin GPIO header affect which boards I can use this HAT with?

The standard 40-pin header fits Raspberry Pi 4B, 3B+, 3B, 2B+, Zero W, Zero WH and Jetson Nano, giving direct access to the two DRV8825 controllers.
