Server-grade ECC LRDIMM kit

This 256GB kit provides two 128GB DDR4 2933 PC4-23400 CL21 4Rx4 288-pin 1.2V ECC Load Reduced DIMMs. It is built for Supermicro X11 series motherboards including X11DPD-L, X11DPD-M25, X11DPFF-SNR, X11QPL and X11SPA-T. The modules target servers, workstations and NAS systems that require registered ECC memory with load-reduced buffering. They will not work in standard desktop computers or alongside unbuffered or registered ECC DIMMs.

Load-reduced ECC architecture

The single specification that decides fit is the Load Reduced ECC design combined with 4Rx4 organisation. This electrical interface differs from standard registered ECC and unbuffered DIMMs, so the motherboard memory controller must explicitly support LRDIMM operation. Mixing with other ECC types is not supported and will prevent boot or cause data errors.

Sustained server workloads

Under continuous load the modules operate at the rated 2933 MT/s with CL21 latency at 1.2V, and they are backward compatible with 2133, 2400 and 2666 MT/s bus speeds.
