Server Memory Upgrade Kit

This OWC kit supplies 32GB of DDR3L ECC Registered memory in two 16GB modules. It is built for Supermicro H8DCT, H8DG6, H8DGT, H8DGU and H8QG7 motherboards. Workstations and servers that require registered DIMMs can use this upgrade to expand capacity. Standard desktop boards that only accept unbuffered memory cannot use these modules.

ECC Registered Operation

The modules run at 1.35V with a CL11 latency at 1600MHz. Error-correcting code and register buffering improve data integrity for continuous workloads. Because the kit is registered ECC, it must not be mixed with unbuffered memory in the same system. No heat spreaders are fitted, so airflow across the DIMMs should be maintained by the chassis.

Capacity and Headroom

The 32GB total (2 x 16GB) suits multi-VM hosts, database nodes or NAS appliances that need more RAM than factory configurations provide.
