10 Gbps per port limited by PCIe generation

Each port can reach 10 Gbps when the host slot runs at PCIe 3.0 or 2.0 speeds; a Gen 1.0 slot caps throughput at 2.5 Gbps. The card draws up to 4.5 W total (5 V at 0.9 A) from the optional SATA power header, so bus-powered drives and high-current peripherals work without a separate adapter. Backward compatibility covers USB 3.0 and 2.0 devices.

The ASM3142 chipset handles multiple IN transactions to maintain bandwidth with mixed-speed devices connected simultaneously.
