The StarTech USB31000S2H adds a 10/100/1000Mbps RJ-45 port and two USB 3.0 SuperSpeed ports through a single USB 3.0 Type-A male connector. Native driver support covers Windows, Mac and Chrome OS. It operates from 0 to 70 °C and stores from -10 to 55 °C at 40-50% humidity.
Mobile users needing wired networking
This adapter suits laptops, tablets or thin clients that lack built-in Ethernet or have limited USB sockets. It is not for systems that already provide multiple native USB 3.0 ports and Gigabit Ethernet, or for builds requiring internal PCIe network cards.
Single-cable docking for constrained setups
Plug the male USB 3.0 end into the host to gain wired networking and two downstream USB 3.0 ports for peripherals such as mice, keyboards or flash drives. The 5 g device draws power from the host port, eliminating the need for an external supply.
