A 6-core Intel Xeon D-1726 processor and 32 GB of DDR4 ECC memory handle virtualization, surveillance and multi-site collaboration workloads. Network bandwidth limits with dual 10GbE

Two integrated 10GbE RJ-45 ports support Link Aggregation for increased throughput, load balancing and network failover. Synology reports sequential performance exceeding 6,300 MB/s read and 3,700 MB/s write under its test conditions. Actual throughput depends on client network infrastructure, drive configuration and workload mix; the dual 10GbE interfaces set the practical ceiling for single-appliance bandwidth. Two PCIe Gen 4 x8 slots allow future addition of compatible 25GbE or Fibre Channel adapters if higher speeds become necessary.
