Quad M.2 NVMe expansion card for PCIe 4.0/3.0 x16

This add-on card adds four M-key NVMe SSDs through a single PCIe 4.0 or 3.0 x16 slot. The motherboard must support PCIe x16 bifurcation and be configurable to x4x4x4x4 in BIOS. It accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors and provides an individual LED for each drive's activity status. The card does not support SATA-based B-key or B+M-key M.2 drives.

Passive cooling with no added power draw

The card operates without fans or external power connectors, relying on case airflow and the slot for thermal management. Four drives running at up to 32 Gbps each produce heat that the motherboard and chassis must dissipate. Silent operation is inherent because there are no moving parts on the card itself. Power consumption comes entirely from the PCIe slot and the installed SSDs.

Requires bifurcation-capable motherboard

Installation needs a free PCIe 4.0 or 3.0 x16 slot and a CPU with sufficient lanes to drive four x4 NVMe devices. Without BIOS support for x4x4x4x4 bifurcation only one drive will be recognised. Software RAID can be created in Windows 10 or with third-party tools using four identical SSDs. Hardware RAID is not available and SATA M.2 drives cannot be used.
