This bundle pairs an ASUS ROG STRIX X870-A GAMING WIFI S motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 9 9900X processor. The board uses the AMD X870 chipset and AM5 socket, supporting Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series CPUs. The included 12-core, 24-thread chip reaches a 5.6 GHz max boost and provides 64 MB L3 cache. It targets enthusiasts building systems for advanced AI workloads and high-performance computing.

Onboard AI tools and storage cooling

ASUS-exclusive AI Overclocking, AI Cooling II, AI Networking and AEMP automate tuning for memory and thermals. ROG Strix technologies add Dynamic OC Switcher, Core Flex, Asynchronous Clock and PBO Enhancement for manual control. The 16+2+2 power solution uses 90A stages with dual ProCool II connectors, alloy chokes and durable capacitors. Four M.2 slots — two PCIe 5.0 and two PCIe 4.0 — each receive substantial heatsinks to sustain throughput under heavy AI datasets.

Platform interface limits

The AM5 platform enables PCIe 5.0 on select motherboards; this board provides two such M.2 slots and PCIe 5.0 graphics support. DDR5 memory runs at 5600 MT/s baseline with AEMP optimisation. WiFi 7 and USB4 connectivity are integrated for high-speed peripherals. The CPU ships without a cooler, so a separate solution must be sourced. Memory capacity and maximum overclock headroom depend on the specific modules and cooling chosen.
