The Dell PowerEdge R440 is a 1U rackmount server built for space-constrained data centre environments. It ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 6130 processors, each offering 16 cores at a 2.1 GHz base frequency with 3.7 GHz turbo capability. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4-2666 ECC registered memory is installed across two modules.

Storage limited to eight 2.5-inch bays

The chassis provides eight 2.5-inch drive bays populated with 600 GB 10K SAS hard drives. The PERC H730P controller operates at 12Gb/s and supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. No additional drive bays or larger form-factor support are available in this 1U design.
