Enterprise 1U Rack Server

The Dell PowerEdge R650 is a 1U rack server built for virtualization, database workloads and dense private-cloud deployments. It ships with two Intel Xeon Silver 4314 processors, each running at 2.4 GHz with 16 cores and a 3.4 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 256 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory across eight 32 GB modules. A PERC H755 RAID controller with 8 GB NV cache manages ten 960 GB SATA SSDs.

Dual 1400 W Platinum Power Supplies

Redundant hot-swap 1400 W platinum-efficiency power supplies deliver reliable power with N+1 redundancy in normal operation. The 1U chassis uses forced-air cooling designed for data-centre airflow standards. Integrated iDRAC9 Enterprise enables remote monitoring of thermal sensors and power draw without host OS involvement. Broadcom 5720 quad-port 1 GbE OCP 3.0 networking is fitted as standard.

Ten-Bay 2.5" SATA Storage Limit

The front panel provides ten 2.5-inch drive bays wired for SATA and SAS; NVMe support is not included in this configuration. Buyers who need NVMe performance or more than ten drives must select a different chassis or add external storage. The H755 controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across the installed SSDs. Maximum system memory capacity is 2 TB using all 32 DDR4 DIMM slots.
