Four USB-C 10Gbps ports via PCIe x4

The ESTONE PCIE24C adds four external USB Type-C ports to a desktop or server through a single PCI Express x4 slot. Each port delivers up to 10 Gbps using the ASM3142 controller. An optional SATA power connector supplies up to 15 W per port when motherboard power is limited. The card fits x4, x8 or x16 slots and supports PCIe 2.0 and 3.0.

This card suits users who need extra high-speed USB-C connections for external storage, docks or peripherals on Windows 8 or later, macOS 10.8.2 or later, and Linux. It does not support DisplayPort Alternate Mode or USB Power Delivery, so it cannot drive monitors or charge laptops at high wattage. Systems with only PCIe 1.0 slots cannot use the card.

PCIe x4 slot and ASM3142 controller define

The card requires an available PCI Express x4, x8 or x16 slot compliant with PCIe 2.0 or 3.0. The ASM3142 controller provides four 10 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports. Driver installation is necessary on Windows 7 and XP; Windows 8 and later, macOS 10.8.2 and later, and most Linux distributions load drivers automatically. An optional SATA power cable can be connected for additional port power.
