This 1U rack server ships with two Intel Xeon Silver 4110 processors at 2.1 GHz and 1 TB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. An HPE Smart Array P408 SAS controller manages up to eight 2.5-inch SATA drive bays. Integrated graphics and iLO Advanced remote management are included. The unit is new and firmware is updated to the latest version.

Target workloads and limitations

The system suits virtualization hosts, database nodes and compute clusters that need high core density and large memory capacity in a single-socket-width chassis. Buyers who need local storage drives, GPU acceleration or a single-socket platform should evaluate alternative configurations. The maximum memory ceiling is 3 TB and the processor count is fixed at two.

Deciding specification: 1 TB DDR4 ECC registered

The installed 1 TB of DDR4 ECC registered memory determines whether the server can hold your working set without swapping. If your workloads require more than 3 TB total or a different memory generation, this chassis will not meet the requirement.
