This HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 system ships with two Intel Xeon Silver 4214 processors at 2.2 GHz and 256 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. It is built for virtualization, database or compute workloads that need up to 24 cores in a 2U form factor. The chassis supports up to eight 2.5-inch drive bays and a maximum of 3 TB of RAM. Buyers who need GPU acceleration or more than two sockets should look elsewhere.

Verify power, networking and rail kit

Confirm your rack can supply two 500 W flex-slot power supplies and that your PDU cables match. The installed Intel I350 and X540 adapters provide two 10 GbE and two 1 GbE ports; check that your switch ports and cabling support those speeds. A rail kit is available on request, so ensure you order it if your rack requires sliding rails. The Smart Array P408 controller manages SAS and SATA drives only.

Expand storage and memory as needed

Eight 2.5-inch bays let you add SAS or SATA drives behind the P408 controller for the capacity and RAID level your workload demands. Twelve DDR4 slots per processor remain open, allowing growth toward the 3 TB maximum with registered ECC modules. Integrated graphics handle basic console output, freeing PCIe slots for additional network or storage cards. Firmware and BIOS are updated before shipment.
