PCIe to M.2 Adapter for NVMe SSDs

This PCIe 3.0 x4 expansion card lets you install an M-key NVMe SSD into a desktop PCI Express slot. It supports common M.2 lengths including 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280. The board includes four fixed mounting holes spaced for those sizes. A low-profile bracket is supplied for slim chassis builds.

Sustained Transfer Through PCIe 3.0 x4

The adapter connects the SSD directly to the PCI Express 3.0 x4 lane, so sustained throughput is limited by the drive and the host controller rather than the card itself. No onboard bridge or switch is present, so latency stays low during long reads or writes. Performance scales with the installed NVMe device and the platform's PCIe 3.0 capability.

Passive Cooling and Low Power Draw

The card draws power only from the PCIe slot and has no active cooling, so it adds negligible heat and zero noise. A metal baffle stiffens the PCB and helps spread warmth from the SSD during heavy workloads. Total board mass is approximately 69 grams, keeping stress on the motherboard slot minimal.
