The Inctel I26-i5 4200U-8G128G is a fanless nettop built around an Intel Core i5-4200U processor with 8 GB of DDR3L memory and a 128 GB mSATA SSD. Six serial ports supporting RS232, RS422 and RS485 plus an 8-bit GPIO header make it suited for legacy industrial equipment and medical devices that require direct hardware interfaces. It ships without an operating system but supports Windows 7, 10, 11 and Linux Ubuntu.

Fanless thermal design with 15 W TDP

The Haswell-generation CPU operates at a base frequency of 1.60 GHz and a maximum turbo of 2.60 GHz within a 15 W thermal envelope. Passive aluminium chassis cooling eliminates moving parts, enabling continuous 7×24 operation without acoustic noise. Dual Intel I213 LAN controllers provide 10/100/1000 Mbps wired connectivity, while an onboard 802.11ac Wi-Fi module with dual antennas adds wireless capability.

Six configurable COM ports and GPIO

The defining feature is the six COM ports that can be switched between RS232, RS422 and RS485 modes in the BIOS, together with an 8-bit GPIO interface for industrial signalling. Buyers who need more than six serial channels or a different serial standard should look elsewhere. Expansion is limited to one mSATA, one 2.5-inch SATA bay and two mini-PCIe slots with a 4G SIM socket.
