Raspberry Pi Camera Module V2
The MCDODO Camera Module V2 is an 8 megapixel camera board built around the Sony Exmor IMX219 sensor. It connects directly to a Raspberry Pi single-board computer via the CSI interface. Makers and developers use it for computer-vision projects, time-lapse photography and portable monitoring.
Fixed focus lens and video modes
The module ships with a fixed-focus lens so no manual adjustment is required. The IMX219 sensor supports 1080p at 60 frames per second, 720p at 180 frames per second and 8 megapixel stills at 3280 by 2464 active pixels. These modes give flexibility for both smooth motion capture and high-resolution snapshots.
CSI bandwidth and power limits
On a Raspberry Pi board the CSI link caps video recording at 1080p30 while stills remain at the full 8 megapixel resolution. A 2A power supply is highly recommended to keep the sensor and the host board stable under load. Projects needing 4K30 or higher frame rates at 1080p require a different capture path.
