HPE-Compatible 16GB DDR5 ECC RDIMM

This registered DDR5 module delivers 16GB of ECC-protected capacity at 4800 MT/s with a CL40 latency and 1.10V operation. It uses a 1Rx8 organisation on a 288-pin form factor and is validated for HPE P43322-B21 platforms. The design targets servers and workstations that require registered memory with error correction.

Sustained-load behaviour with registered ECC

The registered buffer reduces electrical load on the memory controller, allowing stable operation when all slots are populated under continuous workloads. ECC circuitry detects and corrects single-bit errors in real time, preventing data corruption during long compute runs. The 1.10V DDR5 voltage helps limit thermal output during extended duty cycles.

Upgrades from non-ECC or lower-capacity DDR5

This module replaces unbuffered non-ECC DDR5 or smaller registered DIMMs when the platform demands registered error-correcting memory. The jump is worthwhile when workloads exceed the reliability or capacity limits of consumer-grade modules. Systems that do not support registered ECC DDR5 cannot use this part.
