This 4TB SanDisk drive uses a SATA 6 Gb/s interface in a 2.5-inch 7mm form factor. It is built for NAS caching to accelerate access to frequently used files and to improve responsiveness in multi-user workloads such as OLTP databases and photo rendering. Sequential reads reach up to 560 MB/s and writes up to 520 MB/s. Endurance is rated at 2500 TBW with an MTTF of 2,000,000 hours.
Verify that your NAS or server has a free SATA III 6 Gb/s port and a 2.5-inch drive bay that accepts a 7mm z-height. The drive operates from 0 °C to 70 °C and can be stored between -55 °C and 85 °C. It withstands shock of 1,500 G at 0.5 msec half sine. Confirm your system can provide sufficient airflow within those temperature limits.
The package contains the bare drive only; no mounting brackets, cables or cloning utilities are included. You must supply any required SATA data and power cables as well as any drive tray or adapter your chassis needs. The high TBW rating and 87,000 random read IOPS are inherent to the NAND and controller, not to any add-on software.
