What to verify before buying

Your host must provide a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port to reach the stated 10Gbps ceiling; slower ports will work but reduce throughput. The adapter accepts only one drive at a time, so you cannot run a 2.5-inch drive and an M.2 drive together.
