The Silverstone Argon SST-AR09-115XS is a low-profile air cooler built for Intel LGA 1150, 1151, 1155 and 1156 sockets. Three 6 mm copper heat-pipes make direct contact with the CPU lid, moving heat into a dense aluminium fin stack. A 60 mm dual ball-bearing PWM fan spins between 1200 and 5000 RPM to match thermal load.

Vertical 60 mm Fan Layout

The fan mounts vertically above the heatsink, drawing air down through the fins and exhausting it toward the motherboard. This orientation keeps the overall height at 66 mm, leaving clearance for slim cases or tight component spacing. Spring-screw brackets with a backplate secure the unit without needing access to the rear of the board.

Spring-Screw Mounting Kit

The bundled spring-screw bracket and backplane apply even pressure across the heat-pipes, improving contact consistency on the supported LGA 115x platforms.
