This Vertical Cable RAID controller uses Broadcom's SAS 3008 chip to provide eight internal lanes through two SFF-8643 ports. It connects via a PCIe 3.0 x8 slot and supports SAS and SATA drives at up to 12Gb/s. The card operates in IR mode with RAID 0, 1, 1E and 10 and is compatible with the SAS 9311-8I.
