This adapter converts M.2 SATA NGFF solid-state drives in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths with B key or B+M key to a standard 2.5 inch SATA interface. It is built for users who want to install NGFF drives in laptop bays, desktop trays or external enclosures that accept 2.5 inch SATA devices. NVME and PCI-E SSDs are not supported.

Dual-drive capacity up to 4 TB

Two NGFF SATA SSDs can be installed simultaneously and appear as a JBOD span, with a combined ceiling of 4 TB. The board is backward compatible with 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB modules. Theoretical SATA 3.0 bandwidth is 6 Gbps; real-world throughput reaches about 500 MB/s and varies with the drives and host configuration.

Passive thermals and driver-free operation

The black PCB measures 6.93 in by 4.21 in by .35 in and adds no active cooling, so it runs silently and draws negligible power beyond the SSDs themselves. Installation is plug-and-play with no extra drivers required on Windows 7, 8, 10, 11, Mac OS or Linux.
