Align the processor triangle with the socket corner, lower the retention frame, then torque the captive screws in a cross pattern to the board maker's specified value — skipping the torque sequence is the common error that causes uneven contact.
The CPU itself has no user-serviceable parts; plan to replace the thermal interface material whenever the cooler is reseated and verify the 240 W thermal solution remains clean and functional.
