1U rack server for single-socket workloads

The Dell PowerEdge R330 fits a single Intel Xeon E3-1220 v5 quad-core processor at 3GHz in a 1U form factor. It ships with 8GB of DDR4 memory across four DIMM slots and includes a PERC H330 RAID controller. Two hot-swap 350W power supplies provide redundancy for continuous operation.

8GB DDR4 with four slots and 40TB drive ceiling

The installed 8GB uses one of four DDR4 slots that accept 4GB, 8GB or 16GB modules at up to 2400MT/s. Maximum supported memory is 64GB, though the spec sheet also lists a 8GB ceiling. Four 3.5-inch hot-plug bays accept SAS or SATA drives with a combined raw capacity of 40TB. RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60 are available through the H330 controller.

Redundant power and iDRAC8 remote management

Dual 350W hot-swap supplies keep the server running if one unit fails. The iDRAC8 Express controller is included for out-of-band management, with Enterprise and vFlash upgrades available. A DVD-ROM drive is fitted. The package includes a power cable; rail kit, bezel, keyboard, mouse and video cable are not supplied.
