This HPE ProCurve zl power supply delivers 1500 W for compatible chassis. It operates on 220 V input at 50/60 Hz with a maximum current draw of 10 A. The unit weighs 3.4 kg and measures 15.37 x 18.92 x 12.95 cm. It is designed for network infrastructure requiring high-density power.
The supply allocates 600 W for chassis operations and 900 W for Power over Ethernet ports. This split allows simultaneous switch functions and powered device support. Installing this unit reduces the chassis altitude specification to 3677 m. No additional software or accessories are bundled with the power supply.
The 1500 W total output handles dense PoE deployments with 900 W available for endpoints such as access points and IP phones. Chassis systems drawing more than 600 W for internal components will exceed the non-PoE allocation. The 3677 m altitude limit restricts use in high-elevation installations above 10000 ft.

The J8713A is a sealed proprietary power supply module with no user-serviceable components listed in the specifications. Routine maintenance is limited to keeping the chassis air intakes clear of dust.
The unit delivers up to 1500 W total, split as 600 W for chassis power and 900 W for PoE. The 900 W PoE ceiling is the first fixed limit reached if connected devices draw maximum inline power.
At full 1500 W load the supply draws 10 A at 220 V. Nearly all input power becomes waste heat, so expect roughly 1500 W of thermal output into the rack environment.
