With a passive cooler the card relies on steady system airflow to maintain thermal limits during long-running compute jobs. The card installs in a standard PCIe slot and moves data across that bus to the CPU and system memory. Bandwidth and latency are bounded by the generation and lane count of the host platform. Large model transfers will saturate the link before the on-board compute resources are fully utilised.
