This development board integrates a high-precision capacitive fingerprint reader for enrolling, matching and searching fingerprints. It targets makers and engineers building biometric access control, attendance or identity-verification projects on embedded platforms. The module handles all fingerprint algorithms internally, so no specialist knowledge of fingerprint technology is required.
Control the reader through a compact command set over either UART or USB; no low-level algorithm work is needed. Rich development resources including command documents, tools and example code for Raspberry Pi, Arduino and STM32 accelerate integration. The only common pitfall is wiring the chosen serial interface incorrectly, which prevents communication until the TX/RX lines or USB enumeration are corrected.
The board exposes both UART and USB ports, letting you select the link that best suits your host controller. This dual-port flexibility is the single specification that determines whether the module fits your existing hardware design. Buyers whose host offers neither a spare UART nor a USB host/device port will need a different fingerprint solution.
