The MSI X370 Krait Gaming accepts first and second generation Ryzen processors with AM4 pins as well as Ryzen chips with Radeon Vega graphics and A-series CPUs. It uses the AMD X370 chipset on a standard ATX layout. The board targets builders who need a proven AM4 platform for those CPU families.
Dual-channel DDR4 runs at 1866, 2133 and 2400 MHz natively and can reach 2667, 2933 or 3200 MHz when overclocked up to 64 GB total. The rear panel provides one USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C and one Type-A port at 10 Gbps plus Gigabit LAN from a Realtek 8111H controller and 7.1-channel audio via the ALC892 codec.
Two full-length PCIe 3.0 x16 slots operate at x16/x0 or x8/x8 with Ryzen CPUs and at x8/x0 with 7th generation A-series or Athlon processors. A third PCIe 2.0 x16 slot runs at x4 mode. This lane wiring determines whether the board can support the multi-graphics configuration you plan.
