1.5 TB DDR5 server kit

This 1.5 TB kit contains twelve 128 GB DDR5 4800 RDIMM modules built for Supermicro UP SuperServer SYS-111C-NR and SYS-521C-NR systems. Registered ECC with 4Rx4 organisation provides the error correction and signal integrity required by enterprise workloads. The 1.1 V operating voltage matches the platform specification. It targets administrators scaling memory capacity on qualified Supermicro hardware.

Installation and common issues

Modules use the standard 288-pin DDR5 RDIMM form factor and seat in the server DIMM slots without tools. Populate all twelve slots according to the motherboard population guide to reach the full 1.5 TB capacity. The most frequent issue is mixing registered and unbuffered DIMMs or using a non-qualified motherboard, which prevents the system from posting. Verify the X13SEDW-F or listed SuperServer models before installation.

DDR5 4800 registered ECC limits

DDR5 4800 RDIMM bandwidth is capped at the PC5-38400 data rate and CL40 latency defined by the JEDEC standard for this speed grade. Registered buffering adds one cycle of command latency but enables the high module count and 4Rx4 density used here. Systems that do not support DDR5 registered ECC or that limit maximum rank per channel will not recognise the full kit. Capacity beyond 1.5 TB requires a platform with more memory channels or higher-density modules.
