This kit delivers one terabyte of DDR4 memory across eight 128 GB registered DIMMs built for ThinkMate HDX high-density servers. ECC and registered buffering provide the error correction and signal integrity those platforms require. The modules run at 3200 MHz with a CAS latency of 22 at the standard 1.20 V. No heat spreaders are fitted, so airflow across the PCB is unimpeded.

Thermals and power in normal use

Each DIMM operates at 1.20 V, the baseline voltage for DDR4, keeping power draw low during typical server workloads. Registered buffering reduces electrical loading on the memory controller, which helps maintain stable temperatures without active cooling on the modules themselves. The absence of heat spreaders means system fans must supply adequate airflow through the DIMM slots, a standard requirement in the target chassis.

Behaviour under sustained load

Under continuous heavy utilisation the ECC logic corrects single-bit errors on the fly, preventing data corruption during long compute runs. Registered signalling preserves timing margins when all eight slots are populated at 3200 MHz. The 4Rx4 organisation maximises density per channel, so the memory controller manages more ranks without exceeding its electrical limits. Modules are stress tested under load before shipment to verify stability in this configuration.
