PC4-23400 speed ceiling and unbuffered constraint

The kit runs at DDR4 2933 (PC4-23400), so the memory bus cannot exceed that data rate even if the platform supports faster DDR4 speeds. Because the modules are unbuffered UDIMMs, they must be installed in motherboards that accept unbuffered ECC memory; registered or load-reduced DIMM slots will not work with this kit.

Tool-free DIMM installation with population rules

Each 288-pin module seats in a standard DDR4 UDIMM slot without tools, but the eight-module population requires a board with at least eight slots and a CPU or chipset that supports 256GB of unbuffered ECC capacity. Mixing these 2Rx8 sticks with different ranks, speeds or voltages often prevents the system from posting, so install the full matched kit together.
