This 32 GB kit contains two 16 GB DDR4 2666 ECC unbuffered UDIMM modules built for the Synology RackStation RS2423+ NAS. It targets administrators who need to expand memory capacity for virtualisation, container workloads or large file caches. The modules run at 1.2 V with a CL19 latency and use a 2Rx8 organisation.

Install by seating both modules in the NAS slots

Installation follows the standard UDIMM procedure: power down the unit, open the chassis, align the 288-pin modules with the slots and press until the latches click. Because the kit is validated for the RS2423+, compatibility issues are rare; the main risk is forgetting to seat both sticks fully, which leaves the system running in single-channel mode.

ECC corrects errors during long workloads

Under sustained load the ECC logic detects and corrects single-bit errors that can accumulate during extended file transfers or database operations. The unbuffered design keeps latency low while the 1.2 V operation limits heat rise in the passively cooled NAS chassis, so throughput remains stable over many hours.
