This single 8GB DDR3L 1600 UDIMM adds error-correcting memory to compatible desktops, workstations and NAS systems. The module runs at PC3L-12800 speed with CL11 latency and operates at 1.35V. It is unbuffered and uses a 240-pin form factor.

Upgrade from non-ECC or lower-capacity DDR3L

Replacing standard unbuffered DDR3L without ECC adds data-integrity protection for workloads that cannot tolerate silent corruption. The jump is worth it when the platform supports ECC unbuffered memory and the application demands sustained accuracy over raw bandwidth.

Limits of the DDR3L 1600 interface

The JEDEC-standard DDR3L bus tops out at 1600 MT/s and 1.35V, so throughput cannot exceed the PC3L-12800 ceiling. Platforms that require registered DIMMs or higher voltages will not accept this module, and total capacity is bound by the motherboard's slot count and memory-controller limits.
