It targets midsize and large enterprises running databases, virtual desktop infrastructure, data-warehouse queries or high-performance computing tasks that benefit from high core counts and large memory capacity.

24-bay 2.5-inch chassis

The front panel accepts up to 24 hot-swap 2.5-inch SATA or SAS drives, while the PERC H730 1 GB controller manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through. An Intel X520/I350 daughter card adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports, and iDRAC 8 Enterprise provides out-of-band management. Dual 750 W platinum power supplies and sliding rails are included.

The system ships with 512 GB of DDR4-2133 registered ECC memory across 16 DIMM slots, leaving eight slots open for expansion to 1.5 TB.
