17 kg·cm Torque Servo for Robotics

The LORDWORLD LDX-218 is a standard digital servo built for robotics projects that demand strong, precise actuation. It delivers 15 kg·cm of torque at 6.6 V and 17 kg·cm at 7.4 V, making it suitable for articulated arms, legged platforms and steering mechanisms. Full metal gears and dual ball bearings provide the mechanical rigidity needed for repeated load cycles. The 180° control angle covers the range required by most joint designs.

Capacity and Headroom

At 6.6 V the servo produces 15 kg·cm (208 oz·in), rising to 17 kg·cm (236 oz·in) at 7.4 V, giving a clear voltage-dependent headroom for peak loads. The high-precision potentiometer improves linearity so positional commands remain accurate across the full 180° sweep. It is not intended for continuous rotation or multi-turn applications, and the fixed travel limit prevents use in winch or endless-rotation roles.

Thermals, Noise and Power Draw

Metal gear construction and dual ball bearings reduce internal friction, helping to limit heat build-up during normal intermittent operation. Audible gear noise is typical for metal-gear servos under load but remains consistent with standard digital servo behaviour. Current draw scales with torque demand, so a supply capable of delivering several amps at 6.6–7.4 V is required to maintain voltage under stall conditions.

Kysymyksiä tästä tuotteesta

Will the LDX-218 digital servo connect directly to my existing PWM receiver or flight controller without an adapter?

The servo uses a standard three-pin plug-in wire that fits common PWM receivers and flight controllers, so no adapter is needed for typical hobby connections.

How can I verify the LDX-218 is delivering its rated 17 kg·cm torque at 7.4 V after installation?

Command the servo to hold a known load at mid-stroke; if it maintains position without stalling or overheating, the 17 kg·cm rating at 7.4 V is being met.

Does the LDX-218 package include mounting horns, screws or a power supply, or must I buy them separately?

The box contains the servo with its pre-fitted plug-in lead only; mounting horns, screws and a 6.6–7.4 V power source are not included.
