The MSI MEG Z590 UNIFY-X is an E-ATX motherboard built for Intel 10 and 11 generation Core processors using the LGA 1200 socket. It targets enthusiasts who want a clean layout and strong overclocking headroom on the Z590 chipset. The board supports dual-channel DDR4 memory up to 64 GB with a long list of validated speeds reaching 5600 MT/s.

Power delivery and connectivity

A 16-phase digital power design feeds the CPU socket while an enlarged heatsink array covers the VRM and chipset areas. Rear I/O includes a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 20 Gbps Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 10 Gbps Type-A, eight USB 3.2 Gen 1 5 Gbps Type-A ports and a 2.5 Gbps Intel I225-V LAN jack. Audio uses the Realtek ALC4080 codec for 7.1-channel output with S/PDIF.

PCIe 4.0 upgrade path

With an 11 generation CPU the primary PCIe x16 slot runs at 4.0 x16, doubling the bandwidth available to current graphics cards compared to 3.0 x16 on 10 generation chips. The chipset adds one 3.0 x4 slot and two 3.0 x1 slots for add-in cards. Four M.2 interfaces and six SATA ports handle storage expansion.
