The modules operate at 1.1 V and use a 288-pin form factor with 4Rx4 organisation. They are designed for workstation, NAS and network-switch workloads that require error-correcting registered memory. Desktop systems cannot use this memory.

512 GB capacity ceiling

Four ranks per module give dense capacity in each slot, letting the supported Cisco platforms reach 512 GB with this kit alone. The CL40 latency at 4800 MT/s suits throughput-oriented server tasks such as virtualisation, database buffering and large-file caching. Workloads that demand lower latency or higher per-core bandwidth will hit the limits of this speed grade before the capacity is exhausted.

DDR5 4800 interface bounds

The PC5-38400 standard caps data rate at 4800 MT/s, so any platform limited to this JEDEC speed cannot exceed the kit’s rated throughput. Registered signalling adds a clock cycle for command buffering, which stabilises large populations of modules but does not raise peak bandwidth. Systems that support faster DDR5 grades will still run these modules at 4800 MT/s unless the memory controller negotiates a higher rate.
