This 24TB enterprise hard drive uses a 3.5 inch form factor and a SATA 6.0Gb/s interface. It is intended for hyperscale storage arrays, cloud infrastructure and massive scale-out data centres that need maximum density per rack. The drive spins at 7200 RPM with a 512MB cache and is rated for 550TB per year of enterprise nearline workloads. A 2.5 million hour MTBF and helium-filled design support consistent response rates during continuous operation. It is not aimed at burst-oriented desktop tasks or low-duty-cycle environments.

Build and connectivity
