Double-Conversion On-Line UPS

The APC Smart-UPS SRT2200XLA is a tower-form-factor uninterruptible power supply that delivers 2200 VA and 1800 Watts of continuous double-conversion on-line power protection. It accepts 120V input through a NEMA 5-20P plug and auto-senses input frequency from 40 to 70 Hz. The unit provides seven battery-backup outlets: six NEMA 5-20R and one NEMA L5-20R. It is suited for network closets, servers and critical workstations that require pure sine-wave output with zero transfer time.

SmartSlot Expandability

A single specification that determines fit is the presence of a SmartSlot alongside RJ-45 serial and USB interface ports. The SmartSlot accepts optional management cards for network monitoring, environmental sensors or MODBUS integration. If your infrastructure relies on a specific network-management card or protocol, verify that the card is compatible with the SmartSlot before purchase. Without a management card, the UPS still provides local USB and serial connectivity for shutdown software.

Scalable Runtime Headroom

The internal battery recharges in three hours and is replaceable with the APCRBC141 cartridge, allowing runtime to be extended with external battery packs. The 1800 Watt output comfortably handles typical rack-mounted servers, storage arrays and networking gear drawing up to that load. At higher loads approaching the 1800 Watt limit, runtime shortens and the unit will eventually shut down to protect the battery. The 340 Joule surge rating covers minor transients but not large lightning-induced surges.
