The Casio Edifice EF527D1-AV is a stainless-steel chronograph built for men who want a capable daily watch. Its quartz movement powers three sub-dials for stopwatch timing and a date window, all on a 45mm black dial. A rotating slide-rule bezel adds calculation function for work or hobby use. The deployment clasp secures the metal bracelet without a traditional tang buckle.

100-metre water resistance limits

Rated to 100 metres or 10 ATM, the watch withstands swimming and snorkelling but is not certified for scuba diving. The screw-down crown must be fully pushed in before water contact. Hot showers, saunas and high-velocity water jets can breach the seals despite the rating. Salt water should be rinsed off afterwards to preserve the gaskets and case finish.

Stainless steel build and daily wear

The case, bracelet and clasp are all stainless steel, giving consistent colour and scratch resistance across the whole watch. Mineral glass covers the dial and resists everyday knocks better than acrylic. Luminous hands and markers stay readable after dark without a button press. The 8-inch bracelet length suits most wrists and can be shortened by removing links.
