The PowerEdge R730 delivers two Intel Xeon E5-2699 v4 processors at 2.2 GHz with a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. Each CPU provides 22 cores for a total of 44 threads across the dual-socket LGA 2011-3 platform. The system ships with 128 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory populated across eight of the 24 available DIMM slots. Maximum supported capacity reaches 1.5 TB for memory-intensive applications such as databases and virtual desktop infrastructure.

2U rack chassis with hot-swap bays and redundant

The 2U form factor houses eight 2.5-inch SAS drive bays and includes ready rails for standard rack installation. Dual 750-watt platinum-efficiency power supplies operate in redundant hot-swap configuration to maintain uptime during maintenance. Network connectivity comes from an Intel X520/I350 daughter card providing two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports. Remote management is handled by iDRAC 8 Enterprise for out-of-band monitoring and control.
